Assassin Creed
Anxious gamers had to wait at least two years before the follow up to the original was released. In the second release, the Middle East medieval era is at the rearview mirror. The assassin is now in Italy and in the Renaissance Era.

The game pivots focus on naval exploration, which is evident because of the pirate theme. Compare to the games released before Assassin's Creed IV, this one has more of an open-world approach to it. You can upgrade your ship, build your assassin's guide and you also get to enjoy improved naval combat. There are no major additions, but Black Flag definitely changes the tide of the sequel with the minor adjustments.
Bayek is an ancient Egyptian Medjay for the region of Siwa. Basically a Medjay appears to be a kind of policeman, committed to helping the people of Egypt and keeping them safe. This is a perfect proto-assassin role and lends itself well to the side quests.
For the first year in all the documents and everything it was called Prince of Persia: Next-gen. After maybe a year of working on that, before having a greenlight, when we presented it in [Ubisoft executives in] Paris, we never mentioned the name Prince of Persia. It was all about assassins.
Our main reference was the book Alamut, which was about the assassins at the time of the medieval crusade. And from there, Paris was a little bit surprised because they were aiming to have a new Prince of Persia game.
My first role in the early days was to try to understand everything that people were working on and how to make their lives easier. I saw myself very often as more like a monk or a healer, you know, than like a warrior or an assassin on the team.
So when I swing a blade at you, you sort of have a few milliseconds to get in step towards what we are going to do as a choreography, as a move. So this implies the assassin would step in a few centimeters, adaptively, towards the target. The target would turn toward the assassin. And then there would be two clips started in sync, depending on the outcome. So for example, if the character would block, you would have the character quickly raise his blade to meet the blade of the assassin as it hits.
In the year 2012, a seemingly ordinary bartender named Desmond Miles is abducted by a mysterious organization. The captors attach Desmond to a strange device called "Animus", which allows him to access the memory of his ancestor, an assassin named Altaïr. For some reason, the reconstruction of Altaïr's memories is vital to the captors.
After accessing Altaïr's memory, Desmond is able to experience the events that took place in the Holy Land in the year 1191, the time of the Third Crusade. Al Mualim, the leader of the assassins, orders Altaïr to kill nine prominent historical figures, who supposedly let war and corruption take over the Holy Land.
Want to know everything about Assassin's Creed Mirage? Assassin's Creed is 15 years old, and it's going back its roots with Assassin's Creed Mirage. It will take place in Baghdad, following Basim Ibn Is'haq prior to his appearance in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and have a renewed focus on the stealth-assassination roots of the franchise. That means those who played Valhalla shouldn't expect a similar experience with Mirage, despite having clear story connections.
Assassin's Creed Mirage is the next game in Ubisoft's venerable Assassin's Creed series, after 2020's behemoth Assassin's Creed Valhalla. It's being developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux, and it marks a departure from the massive open-world RPGs of recent Assassin's Creed games, and a return to the more streamlined stealth and assassination focus of the very first AC games.
Mirage will have a renewed focus on assassinations, parkour, and stealth as an homage to the original Assassin's Creed. Rather than the high-action open world loot crawls that have become so familiar to those who played Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla, Assassin's Creed Mirage will lean heavier into stalking enemies, bagging a kill, and darting back into the shadows without detection.
Assassin's Creed Mirage is set in Baghdad in the year 861, 12 years before the events of Assassin's Creed Valhalla begin. The story follows a younger Basim, who you may know from the Valhalla storyline, as he evolves from a common street thief into "the most versatile Assassin in franchise history" after joining the shadowy Hidden Ones and receiving the tutelage of master assassin Roshan.
Basim stayed trapped in The Grey for centuries until his release in the year 2020, which makes him a very important character whose life spans many of the eras covered in the series' history. But Assassin's Creed Mirage will take players back to Basim's life before he realised his true nature, where he begins his journey into the world of master assassins. 041b061a72
